I have come to Nairobi for some 25 years. Many hotels I stayed in were dilapidated and overpriced with indifferent (or worse) staff. The Country Lodge was therefore a pleasant surprise, as it is the exact opposite. Clean, In perfect condition. Breakfast excellent. Everything works. This is an excellent hotel but has no swimming pool, has everything else including a gym and Internet access. In contrast with its next door neighbour and relation, the Fairview, this hotel has little character. But is it clean and is efficient. Individual rooms have an almost dormitory like feel.
