Hidden deep in the Maasai Mara game reserve, along the great Mara river, lies a magical, untouched and untamed valley with crocodiles basking on the banks of the river and hippos fighting for dominance against a backdrop of absolute wilderness, for centuries the great wildebeest migration has thundered through this hidden valley and crossed the Mara river. Nestled in the midst of this valley is our little boutique tented camp, sit out on the verandah and watch the magic of the African wilderness unfold before you. We invite you to be a part of this untamed bit of Africa!

Let's start with masai mara . It's a heaven on earth . A must visit at least once . It's like a lion king movie come alive before you. The animals in their natural habitat are far more majestic than seen in any zoo . The clear skies , lush green meadows , the mara river ... It's all like paradise. The majestic lion The real king , The smaller but beautiful cheetahs, The large but so quiet and calm elephants , The most amazing animals The giraffe, The wicked hyenas, The Happy hippos, The cunning crocodiles and the cute zebras . It's all their and much more. And if u go to masai stay at mara eden . It's just next to the mara river and u can actually hear the gushing river and the hippos from ur tent . The tents are very comfortable. The staff is amazing. Especially John who works so hard to make the guests comfortable . They pack delicious bfast and serve lunch and dinner with warmth . A special mention of Mike the gate keeper who was so ever smiling and welcoming that it would make anyone cheer up . Our kids loved him . So masai mara should surely be in ones bucket list and mara eden should be your camp site . Our tour guide was beyond wild by mihir and Camila. Our driver cum guide was tony who was amazing. So mara mara , hakuna Matata

Words cannot express how much we loved our time here. You can tell the bedrock of the place is honesty, integrity, and conservation. The accommodations right on the river were stunning. You can hear the animals at night from your room and watch the hippos and animal crossings during the day. The amenities were luxurious —technically you are in a “tent”, but it is luxurious oasis. (This is from someone who doesn’t understand camping). The food is amazing and bountiful. They will pack to go meals for you as needed. The staff is beyond attentive, you are on a 1st name basis with everyone within a day. The staff is so kind and you can tell everyone loves where they work and are proud of it —it’s not puffery, this is true and I found it so meaningful to see how communal the environment is. I would book this little bit of heaven in a moment.

A perfect location to make the most of your Safari’s. The driver we had ( Henry) was fantastic and each drive we went on he managed to find something new. The resort it self was perfectly set on the banks of the river which meant we could see a range of animals from our balcony ( hippos , crocodiles, giraffes, buffalo ect)

Mara Eden was AMAZING! Petro, our guide, was the best. We had front row to Lions eating a wildebeest, leopards carrying a porcupine, and we even got to see baby hyenas playing with each other. Mara Eden was a beautiful relaxing place to Safari. The food was 5 star and they accommodated for my son who is a picky eater. I would highly recommend Mara Eden.

We spent 3 wonderful nights at Mara Eden. Our tent was spacious and comfortable. We were situated right next to the river and could watch the hippos from our porch. During the night we could hear hippos and other animals outside our tent but we always felt safe. The incredible staff escort you back and forth after dusk to ensure safety. The staff was very accommodating and went above and beyond. Special shout out to manager Saina and to John. The food was delicious. A lovely little oasis!

The tent was perfect. Although the staff were very friendly some of them did not understand us too well. The meals were excellent but a bit basic for breakfast. A short but enjoyable stay with a wonderful African downpour at dinner.

Mara Eden was the first and best safari camp we stayed at during our 6 week stay in Africa. Our private driver/guide Simon drove us 300 ks from Nairobi to the campsite, so by the end of the trip we were ready for a welcoming G&T and beer. What a delightfully well equipped tent with all the comforts of home, with a super comfortable bed and pillows - a must for a good nights sleep. Loved the aspect of our tent, could see crocodiles and hippos from the rivers edge. Simon was an experienced tracker and driver who managed to get us to see the big 5 and quite a lot of other animals, including a leapard and cheetah. Everything about this camp was amazing from the food, service and friendly staff, especially John who looked after us during our stay. He even delivered freshly made coffee to our tent prior to the early morning safari starts. He is worth his weight in gold for his genuine friendly demeanour and professionalism overseeing the staff under his supervision. This campsite sets a very high benchmark which I have conveyed back to our travel agent for highly favourable recommendations. Well done we loved you!!!

My mom and I stayed at Mara Eden for three nights while on safari in Maasai Mara. I cannot recommend this camp enough! It was actually recommended to us by the safari company we planned our trip with after our first three choice camps were booked and I am SO happy we ended up at Mara Eden. It is a small camp with only 14 tents which made the experience feel very personal. All staff recognized us and knew our names which was such a nice touch. The tents feel luxurious and have anything you could possibly need to feel comfortable after a day out on game drives. All of the tents face the Mara River where you can see hippos and other animals during the day, and they all are tucked into the foliage and feel very private. After dark you can't walk from your tent alone as the camp is not gated and the animals come up from the river (we heard hippos eating grass just outside our tent each night!) but the staff is always available if you need to move about and we always felt very safe. The food was also wonderful and plentiful! Shout out to John who went out of his way to make sure guests were comfortable and happy. Highly highly recommend Mara Eden!

We were there as a family of 4 in July for 3 nights. A beautiful camp set along the river with hippos hanging out. The camp is truly magical with lovely friendly staff. Food was delicious and a great variety. Everywhere was immaculately clean. Our last night, the evening meal was outside. We were all escorted down to a secret area. A magical opening with candle lit dinner a delicious bbq /buffet and entertainment all next to the river where you could see and hear hippos and crocs! Sam, the manager was super friendly and helpful, he came each evening to catch up with ell the guests and your plans for the next day and timings for being out and if we wanted a packed lunch. I highly recommend staying here.

Loved our stay at Mara Eden! The staff provides excellent service especially camp manager, Samir, and John in the dining area. Additionally, the rooms are very clean and we were surprised how well they maintain it. Additionally, the view was great too. Given it's on the banks of Mara river, we could see and hear hippos around us. Would recommend this to anyone!
