It was my best experience staying in this hotel. Good location and we could walk from the hotel or taking the local transportation to the famous Jokang Monastry which is located within the market. There are so much to see in this market, from culture, tradition, religion to souvenier shopping, we had a great time.

My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton in 2011 for a 3 night stay in Lhasa. The hotel is simple and clean. Breakfast was included and was very good - a nice selection of western and Chinese food to start the day.

I disagree with other reviews which refer to perceived shortcomings.In our recent mid-winter visit, to Lhasa, we found this hotel to offer a high standard of care with friendly and obliging service. Stayed here in May 2011 as part of a tour group. Older facility. Clean but with a unique odor. Back-alley neighborhood location. Staff and service were both excellent. Dining facility was clean with adequate buffet choices. Hard floor in room made for a noisy environment. Within walking distance of many tourist sites. Would not stay there again.
