We also prefer to stay at boutique hotels. The rooms are small-ish but still comfortable and great beds. Excellent showers, complimentary drinks are a nice touch and free Wi-Fi (this is a given yet many hotels in Europe especially still try and charge!) and also the Bose stereo system.
