Stayed there for a night to attend a concert at Singapore Indoor Stadium. On Google or Streetdirectory map, it seems like Kallang and Aljunied MRT Stations are near but appreantly you have to walk quite a distance. Unfortunately, there was no direct way to the Stadium. Not the nicest hotel but the neighborhood is not sketchy, and is easily reached by cab, bus or metro from downtown. This is a good area to stay in if you want relatively cheap and late nightlife. More
