I loved the ambiance of Old Town and the hotel's perfect location near dozens of historically significant sights. It was easy to book it myself by email. Traveling alone, I splurged ($39 with tax) on a suite (incl. refrig and microwave) which came in handy for cold drinks and heating up water for bedtime tea and my Trader Joe's instant... More

We stayed here in early Feb., had the "Chulla Quiteno" suite with jacuzzi. A great value at $61.00 per night. The hot water was OK for a shower, not really good enough for the hot tub, although we took a soak each of the three nights we were there. Breakfast was OK, eggs, juice, rolls, tea or coffee in a... The Hotel San Francisco de Quito appears to attract budget-minded travelers of all ages. For $70 a night, we stayed in the honeymoon suite for five days at the very top of a five-story walk-up. The hotel overall is convivial and within easy walking distance of the main historic attractions. (It's important to know the old town rolls up the... More

We are a family of 5, this was a very comfortable, hotel. We had rooms at the back of the hotel so very quiet & cosy. The hotel staff were helpful & friendly. Only a short walk to most of the attractions in the old town. More

Charming, Spanish style hotel offering a great value for a central location, just a few blocks from Iglesia de San Francisco, La Plaza de Independencia and the cafes, restaurants & bars of La Ronda. I stayed in a room on the second floor that offered two double beds, a tv and a small bathroom with shower & hot water. Although... More

This hotel is close to most of the major tourist sights, unlike the hotels in the New Town where most of the tourists stay. We stayed in both the Old and New Towns and found the Old Town to be a much better place to stay. There are tourist police on every block, so safety is no concern, although I... More

We thought this hotel offered good value, in a central location in the old town. It has a lot of character with the court yard and the staff were friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend. More

Beautiful old style hotel. Our room had a small but adequate bathroom/ shower with functioning hot water, which is not always the case in Old Town. The floor and bed were so squeaky, that it woke us up at night. Internet connection is soooooo slow! Location is in the prime of Old Town, but like everywhere in Old Town it's... More

We stayed here three times (in three different rooms) during our trip in Ecuador. First two nights we were in room 23 which had a double bed. It was a very small room but comfortable bed and it wasn't too noisy. We had room 27 after Galapagos trip which had two double beds with a kitchen, microwave, safe and fridge.... More

The primary draw of this hotel, for me, was how cheap it was ($27/night for a single). For that price, I got a decently sized room that was clean and comfortable--pretty amazing for the price. The view from the top of the hotel (after you climb a few flights of stairs...a little difficult if you've just arrived in the high... More
