The employees are doing their best to offer a good service, but if you don't like old style, heavy dark carpets and complicated/old style, stay away. The rooms are large but really not pleasant, with old or cheap materials except for the bed throws which are in cotton. The hotel was also quite expensive and we changed to another one... More

Costa del Sol in Cusco was a very clean, comfortable, convenient place to stay. We spent three nights there prior to our trip to Machu Picchu and another on our return through to Lima. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was excellent, i.e. close to easy shopping and the center of town. Easy walking distance to restaurants... More

When we entered the hotel, we were delighted with the beauty of the reception, the courtyard and the upper level balcony ringing the courtyard. When we entered the room (a superior suite in the old section of the hotel facing the main street), we saw a very large room with a beautiful high ceiling, but with very little furnishings. The... Staying 2 nights, making this a base for a day trip to Macchu Picchu, we really needed a good nights sleep. Not to be, our room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the airconditioning units. As the room was not airconditioned, we needed to open the window to keep cool. When we complained the units were switched off,... More

We spent three nights here, two before and one after our trip to Machu Picchu. The location is great; very convenient to the main square. The first two nights were in the new section with a just average 1960-70's style Holiday Inn type room. The last night was in a really excellent room in the old section just off the... More

We stayed in one of the rooms in the old colonial building. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The bathrooms are great, well designed. The only unfortunate thing about this hotel is practically no noise insulation. The colonial part has a cobblestone center court. While it was relatively quiet at night, the breakfast starts at 4:30am and at 4am people... More

First impressions are really good. Great location, just off the main square. From the street, the hotel opens up into a beautiful old courtyard and reception area, couldn't be better. Staff are helpful and friendly (as we found in all cases in Peru) but that was really about as good as it get's. I would imagine the rooms around the... More

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is in a good location only a block or so away from Plaza de Armas. We had a room in the old section of the hotel which is both good and bad. Good because the room was nice (despite a mix up with our room that meant my husband and I spent 3... More

Staff super friendly and helpful, hotel is gorgeous and in a great location very, very close to everything, our rooms were excellent, great beds and linens, nice bathrooms, very clean and appointed well. We stayed in this hotel the night before leaving on the MP trek and were in the back of the hotel in the addition rooms. They were small, very basic, but clean and warm. No complaints! We also stayed at this hotel the night we got back fro the MP trek and they were kind enough to upgrade us to... More
