We were in this hotel for two nights douring our ex-YU trip. We made online reservation via email in advance and everything was OK whe we arrived. Hotel was clean, rooms are large. We had two rooms for 6 (2 adults, 4 kids). Top floor room had own air conditioning and was quite hot during summer (-1/2 star). Hotel is... More

The hotel was staffed with wonderful staff, but by American standards did not measure up. It was a bit dirty and the rooms were decorated in the 70s and not updated. The location was not bad. There was a bit of walk to the center of Sarajevo which was down the hill. No air conditioning, but the staff did find... More

I've been there for one night and must say it's not good enough. If you are planning to stay for short time, you'll live through this, but for longer period, find your self something better. Hotel is not so near to Old Town. If you are older person and climbing up the hill is hard for you - this hotel... More

This Hotel Hecco (one of three in Sarajevo) is on walking distance from Sarajevo's old town. Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean, but still a service attitude still needs to develop among the Bosnian people. Loads of things that - I assume - worked once, have never been repaired. The fountain in the lobby is a striking example,... More

Hotel is good, I've spent few days and everything was OK. There is only one thing I exactly misunderstand-hotel has own lift service to the airport and a price was 20,00 euros what is absolutely strange, when I arrived to hotel normal taxi took me a 10 euros, but maybe the price was little bit expensive because cute lady was... We spent three nights at this hotel and exploring Sarajevo and the surrounding mountain resorts. This hotel was very clean and rooms and bathrooms were of a good standard, if a little bland. Breakfast was disappointing with not much on offer apart from bread rolls and Eurocrem. The location could be better - it's about a 10-15 minute walk from... More

A very attractively designed hotel. Very clean and quiet rooms. About 10 minutes walk from the old town square. May I also strongly recommend the Tunnel Tour (details from city centre tourist office). It relates the history of the Serbian siege of the city extremely well. More

My husband, mother and I stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel Hecco was extremely clean, pleasant and modern inside. The room for three was a reasonable size. WiFi was accessible and fantastic. Front Desk spoke English; in fact, many people in Sarajevo spoke English. There is no fridge in this hotel and is something we needed. There is no elevator... More

Hotel Hecco which is not Hotel Hecco Deluxe (Hotel Hecco Deluxe is several miles away) is walking distance from Bascarsija which is a plus because there are many good restaurants and gift shops there. Hotel does not take AMEX but they do take Master Card. Hotel Hecco is up on a hill so walking down to Bascarsija is easy but... More

It's a hike up the hill, but not a terrible one, although I can imagine on a hot day that it wouldn't be much fun. It's only about 10 minutes down to the heart of the old city, but you get some great views of the hillsides on the walk down. A little pricier than other options in Sarajevo, but... More
