I was stayed several times at this hotel and everything was great, the best thing was the location of the hotel. Friendly staff and was good breakfast too, I was lucky during my stay I got room with nice view to the surrounding and toward the military museum/club building. Was great times and memories and I would like to stay... More

Forget about the good location - find yourself a good, clean, non-moldy hotel. Other than location it was disapointing in all aspects. The room smelled like mold, had broken furniture, cheap matresses and the wallpaper was torn from the wall. Breakfast was terrible.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during a group travel tour in Romania. It seems that the hotel has not been given any renovation for decades. Our room had a bath-tub where some part of the tub-walls had broken off, I could look into the hotel construction. There was old-fashioned TL lighting in the bath-room, and the blankets... More

Been here twice, great hotel with helpful staff. It has a grand facade. The rooms are nice and clean with good facilities and very quiet. Breakfast is good and the restaurant for evening meal is very high quality with good food. Its a short walk to the Piata Unirii Square and the Unirii shopping mall and there are some good... More

The location is the best you can find in Bucharest, next to the magnificent military building. The receptionist was kind and helpful and the price is ok. The hotel is really dated. Our room was very small, no one socket worked, the bed wasn't confortable. the bathroom finish were terrible and ..... it really needs to be restaured.

The only great thing about my stay at Capitol hotel was the location. Most attractions were in the walking distance. The rooms were not clean; we changed rooms twice and we were not satisfied with their rooms. Wallpaper looked repulsive; the whole hotel itself looked outdated. Food…it was gross. We had breakfast and it was cold.

The Good: The hotel is very well located at the edge of the old city. You can walk to the Art Museum, Revolution Square, University buildings and the old city. Rooms on one side of the hotel have a great view of the ornate military building next door. I had room 112 which had French doors opening onto a a... More

The problem with this hotel is that pieces of bricks are constantly falling off the walls, therefore the parking place as well as the paved area near the hotel are much of a public threat. During my last visit, my car was hit by a brick which had fallen overnight and the hotel stuff claimed they were not responsible for... More

We stayed at this hotel twice, for one night each, at the start and end of a tour around Romania. Contrary to what we had read about this hotel, we were surprised to be quite impressed. The rooms were sufficiently well furnished, very, very quiet - with little noise from outside and none at all from adjoining rooms, despite them... More

The main advantage of Capitol hotel is it's perfect location on Calea Victoriei, the very city centre. The rooms are not too big, rather dark and you can feel like the hotel has it's years. But I really liked it's climate - a bit of "Million Dollar Hotel" like. Good for business or tourists needs, not neceserilly for just-married or... More
