Everything about this place was great, I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about. Wed stayed at two other hotels while we were in SS. The first was crazy expensive and had no soul, the second was a little more aesthetically pleasing but lacked the coziness and warmth of this place. We didn't speak a lick of Spanish...

This hostel provided basic clean accommodations at a reasonable price ($18 per night for a room with a fan and shared bath). It is a good place to stay if you are en route to another destination and need a secure place in a good neighborhood (Escalon). The World Trade Center and many embassies are nearby. Internet use is free....
