Very nice place to stay in casco viejo. Room was nicely decorated, comfortable and nice size. Operaor was very friendly and charming. Could not have been more welcoming. Only negative--Not for handicapped person since flight of stairs to enter. More

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was an absolute pleasure. Such caring, genuine, and honest people running this boutique in the heart of Casco Viejo. If I am back in Panama City, it will be here. Great experience all around. Don't stay anywhere else. More

My husband, daughter and I had come for the Panama Jazz Festival (a great reason to travel to Panama). Our one week stay at Casa Sucre could not have been better. Alyce is a great hostess who made sure everything was perfect during our stay. Breakfasts were fabulous (and filling). The hotel is very clean, bright and filled with Panamanian... More

Our short stay at this hotel was great. Quick access and the old city yielded panoramic views. I wish we had more time before leaving for Contadora Island to explore. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. It was a bit difficult navigating not knowing Spanish, but most people knew a bit of English. The restaurants around had... More

Our stay in Casa Sucre was one of the high points of our visit. It is well situated in the old city of Panama, which (contrary to rumour) was a totally safe place to be and to walk around, day and night. The hotel itself was beautifully designed, with paintings and sculpture from a nearly art gallery. We could sit... More

This past December my husband and I hosted our wedding in Casco Viejo, with over 30 out of town guests flying in for the occasion. In the process of finding accommodations for all of our guests, I met Alyce with Casa Sucre, who from the very first day I met her took my hand and helped me iron out the... More

We would definitely come back here. Elise, the owner, is awesome! She is super friendly and helpful; a real gem! The breakfast was really tasty and beyond our expectations. We were well fed. The rooms are spacious. Great location. Safe area. More

If you are looking at staying in the middle of a unique, one of a kind neighbourhood - then you won't go wrong staying at Casa Sucre. I like when I book a place from the internet websites and get exactly what is advertised - this wonderful spot does just that! Although only one short night - it was a... More

I always prefer to stay in small Inns or B&B's, and avoid chain hotels if possible. Finding Casa Sucre in Panama City was exactly what I hoped for. The property is beautifully restored and maintained. Rich and Alyce felt like old friends after a four day visit. Our rooms and breakfast were excellent as well. More

We would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone looking for a special experience in Casco Viejo. Alyce and Rich are truly amazing people. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home and very comfortable. Alyce provided a yummy breakfast every morning-which was needed with all the tours and adventures we experienced each day. We had the opportunity... More
