We stayed overnight here and loved it. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The owners were nice and let us leave our bags there even after checkout so that we could explore the island without extra baggage. Location was great too! It was across from the information center and a block or two from the ferries and all the... More

This was our third time staying this year at The Hawthorn House-it is the perfect place to stay in Nantucket: excellant rooms and service! Not to mention the location-simply walk out the front door and you are in the thick of it. Great place to stay! -Chuck And Becky Allen More

I stayed here in October for the island's first annual birding festival. The location is so convenient. You can walk everywhere, and can return to your room during the day easily. Right down the street is "Town" - a great restaurant with fusion/asian cuisine. The owners upgraded my room at no charge. It was wonderful, antique, comfortable, and full of... More

If you're looking for a place to experience Nantucket in an atmosphere of simpler times, Hawthorn House is the place for you. My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay here in mid-September and the quirkiness of the Cubbyhole was pitch perfect for us - just the right amount of modern convenience while maintaining character and charm of days... Arrived on the 21st for our daughters wedding and were met by the owners Mitch and Diane Carl along with their dog,Rue. They were very helpful in getting us acclamated to the island and offered a few helpful money saving tips. We had an opportunity to see all the rooms as our friends and relatives took up all the rooms.... More

I would absolutely recommend the Hawthorn House. It is a very pretty building with 3 floors, and the rooms are all different and very nice. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. It is also right downtown all along the pretty cobblestone roads. The breakfast voucher was muchly appreciated, and we dined at Arno's which we loved! Will definitely be returning! More

We love staying at Hawthorn House because of their extremely convenient location....a short walk from the ferry and literally around the corner from the downtown attractions, shops and restaurants....yet it is located on a quiet, peaceful street. Mitch and Diane are gracious hosts who know the island well. We'll be back! More

I have been coming to Nantucket for over 40 years. I have owned houses, been a house guest and stayed in many of the Inns and hotels. on July Fourth weekend I stayed (my first time) at the Hawthorn House, and most importantly in the Cubby Hole. Loved it! The room is totally separate and detached from the rest of... More

I travel frequently to Nantucket Island and always enjoy my accommodations at the Hawthorn House. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated with a variety of paintings, lamps, and antiques. And the showers have excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. There is a nice porch with rocking chairs and also a lovely backyard sitting area. Although I am... More
