This place offers VFM. Great location if you want to see the early morning Monk rituals. I loved the architecture and the local food just two minutes down the road. Laos is the best kept secret in this part of Asia

Stayed for two nights in a back upstairs room. Didn't find the staff particularly friendly or helpful and they spent more time watching their TV than assisting their guests. May have been to do with the poor English spoken by the guys on reception. The room was just okay with an old, small TV way up high with poor reception.... More

We stayed in the cheapest kind of room in the main building at the front. Very clean, plain, pleasant decor, and a good shower. AC worked well. The staff are helpful and friendly. They don't do breakfast but there's tea and fresh coffee in the lobby all the time, plus a water cooler to refill bottles. Good location, opposite a... More

This was one of the more expensive hotels of our trip but was a lovely stay. The rooms at the back are quite dark and a little musty but the courtyard outside mad up for that. Was lovely to have some quiet peaceful outside space. The hotel is on the main road but at the quiet end so very peaceful... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my two stays at Villa Senesouk in Luang Prabang. The first time I was in one of the back rooms and it was lovely and quiet. The rooms have wooden floors and a mosquito net over the bed, which I loved. The second visit was in February this year, and I was in one of the front... More

Here the main attraction are the front balcony rooms that face the early-morning alms procession. The rooms themselves are decent, with a lot of dark wood, very firm beds, limited outlets, and fuzzy tv. We didn't hear much street noise.

Booked through Agoda and got a nice deal. Loved the wooden floors and furniture . The room was clean and free wifi was not bad. I got a room with the balcony facing the beautiful Wat Sen. Very convineient if you want to see the alms ceremony in the morning (the hotel staff will also help you participate, if you... More

Very convenient location! Right in front of a beautiful temple on the main street, and yet very quite and comfortable. The morning alms giving was right in front, and the guesthouse made arrangements for us to participate in the ceremony, which was one of the most memorable experiences in Luang Prabang. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful wooden... More

Plusses: Relativley quiet, large, interesting, dark wood room in the newer back building. Relatively large bath with separate shower. Firm, comfortable bed. Free wifi. Desk staff pleasant and helped move luggage. Room and common areas clean. Good AC $50 Minuses: Desk staff English marginal. No in-room safe; safe available at desk but not convenient for daily cash access. No breakfast.... More

Villa Senesouk is a family owned house at the quiet end of the main road running through LP. As a World Heritage Site the restoration of the old French colonial architecture has been a major draw. LP is well and truly on the "must see" tourist map drawing in visitors from all ends of the economic spectrum, hence for its... More
