It's been a few years since we had our family reunion at this place but family that was there (we more than filled the place) still says that it was the best reunion ever! From the fabulous food, friendly and accommodating hosts, great cabins, evening campfires, horse riding and corral games and rope tricks, fishing and swimming in the Ruby,... More

We're just back from our 8th visit to Upper Canyon and are pleased to report that it's still our favorite. The Ruby Valley offers a great variety of fishing, and the guides are first-rate; trips to other rivers were well-organized and a great way to expand our fishing horizons. This year we enjoyed the special events of a Bamboo Jamboree... More

This was my fourth trip to this ranch, and they NEVER disappoint! Fantastic vacation and some of the best people you will ever meet. Donna and Jake and their crew welcome you as family to their ranch and you feel like that when you leave. We rode horses in the mountains and the views are spectacular with great horses and... More

Deep down in my soul I have always been a cowgirl but have not been able to act out the role in many years. I have wanted to go on a cattle drive ever since I was a little girl but there was never the opportunity. After talking with a gal that has been numerous times to Upper Canyon Outfitters... More

After my first trip to UCO in 2002 , I have returned every summer. This year was my first without my two sons in tow, as they are grown now, with jobs and girlfriends. I go to the ranch for horseback riding, and July in the mountains of Montana is beautiful: wildflowers, scenic vistas, warmth without hunidity, giant blue skies.... More

I was at the lodge when Outdoor Life was filming Jim Ewing's Grand Slam hunt. This was a great experience. Have been on many hunting trips in several states and I would definitely recommend this location. The staff was fabulous, the guide was oustanding, and the food was always good. I will return as soon as I can. Happy hunting!

Upper Canyon Outfitters has been our western fly fishing destination for 5 years, and we've just booked a sixth. Donna and all the guides have made every trip exactly what we want, from our first beginner trips to our most recent "we know what we want" trip last summer. We like the access to all types of trout fishing, from... More

I've visited the ranch 3 times now and had a fabulous time each and every time. Their horseback riding program is top notch with excellent horses, equipment, and the best guides you will meet. You will cover beautiful country and learn about the area and wildlife in the process and your safety and enjoyment is always the number one priority.... More
