I recently visited Cartagena to see friends and they booked me in to this hotel. Frankly this was the biggest favour they've ever done me. It started with a "complimentary" taxi from the airport to the hotel. I arrived late at night but the greeting I received was warm and friendly and immediately put me at ease. They showed me... More

We were surprised that a hotel in this price range does not have hot water. Apparently the owner who lives in Italy does not feel it is necessary in Cartagena`s tropical climate. But enough hot water to make a body temperature shower possible would significantly improve our opinion of this hotel. We did not feel we received good value for... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in early April 2011 and highly recommend it to other travellers. We had a double bed and a twin, a/c (required!), clean tiled floors, large safe, closet, and a simple but clean bathroom. There was also cable TV with CNN. No hot water but water is lukewarm and refreshing.... More

We ended up here running away from an awful hotel in Cartagena centro. We had an amazing stay! Very clean and cozy place, with great staff and amazing service. The breakfast is included in the price (35USD Jan 2011) and is delicious and well served! Dona Marta was a great manager, very nice and wishing to help. Totally coming back... More

This hotel is located between the Old City and the Marina. My father sailed his boat to the Club Nautico Marina so it was the perfect location for me. Tourists often stay in the Boca Grande area and they miss out on the cobblestone streets and quaint charm of this older part of the city. The walled in old city... More

Our stay here was not planned as another hotel in Getsemani had lost our reservation (and had also been unhelpful about it). When we arrived at Casa de las Palmas we had no idea what to expect and we were really pleasantly surprised. The buildings are lovely. They have been refurbished to a high standard and the furniture and air... More
