The hostel rooms are arranged along an outdoor area that resembles a narrow street. This area provides a very social space to meet other people.A mobile bar is set up so you don't have to go far for a drink. The waitress will even shake a cocktail for you. Good size rooms with bunk beds, under bed luggage space and... More

the place is amazing if you are a drunk 18-25 year-old who chain smokes, and only likes to be around other chain-smoking, drunk 18-25 year-olds. for this, it's a top-notch, gringo heaven. i stayed at the viajero in cali and had a great experience - different vibe for sure. i stayed in a private room in the cartagena viajero. it's... My friend and I found ourselves at El Viajero based on a friend's recommendation, and we absolutely loved this hostel, which is known for its party atmosphere. El Viajero is perfectly located within Cartagena's Walled City and within walking distance to anything you could possibly want. Perhaps this convenience factor contributes to El Viagero's above average price points (hostel beds... More

Everything here was OK, but I wouldn't stay here again. On the positive side, the atmosphere was good and the impromptu mojito bar set up in the common area each night was cool, but the staff seemed pretty disinterested in the guests, the WiFi was terrible, and after a pretty late night out on the town I woke up at... I had a good experience at this place. It wasn't the most spectacular place I've ever stayed, but good overall. There is a social atmosphere at night, met a lot of people. It's inside the walked city, so your close to most tourist attractions.

I found the staff very rude and extremely clique. The internet was very poor. A lot of travellers I spoke to were dissatisfied with the hostel. There are MUCH better hostels such as Media Luna and many of the other hostels in that part of the town. Trust me I travel a lot.

So my friend and I booked this hostel for one night. When we arrived this girl with red hair was kind enough to tell us a brief description of the hostel's facts. Pros: Kitchen area, though i think its time for a renovation -comfy beds -A/C in our dorms -location CONS -showers were usually dirty, Even after two days of... More

Definitely a social hostel, many people to meet, the staff is fun. Good location in the historic center. The aircon in dorms is very enjoyable. But they put very loud music all day long in the one and only common area, none of the 3 wifis works properly, and the kitchen is very bad, under-equipped and very unconvenient.

We reserved 2 rooms via hostelbookers and hostelworld and i confirmed with them directly via email, but they only had 1 room available when we got there so we had to stay somewhere else. when i tried to get a refund on our deposits, they lied to the websites and said we decided to stay somewhere else on our own.... We paid a whopping 150,000pesos per night for a private room with a/c. The private rooms were in a building a few doors down which wasn't ideal but not a major issue. We were looking for an a/c private room and it seemed like a good bet despite the high price tag. The only a/c areas are the rooms, the... More
