*** I would highly recommend this hotel for those that just need a quaint, quiet place to sleep, with good food and helpful concierge, and do not intend to spend all day on the hotel grounds *** Service - staff were friendly, helpful and some spoke a good amount of english. They helped us arrange the mud volcano tour ($55,000COP)... More

This hotel offers a cool, relaxed, well maintained haven from the steamy, loud chaos of Cartagena's infectious street life. If you book make sure you ask for a room on the top (third) floor, here you have the patio that offers amazing views of the sunset over the rooftops, it's ideal for a sundowner on one of the loungers before... I was appalled at paying $100/night for this "hotel" which is really a hostel. The rooms smell bad, are dirty and bare, the bed is minimal and there is no furniture. Additionally, when "working" the water barely drips out of the faucet and shower and is cold, not hot or even warm. There are no deadbolts or additional locks on... More

We wanted a hotel that was fairly central - and this fitted the bill. It is in a great location as its within the walled city. We found we could walk everywhere from this hotel - to the cathedral, to the port and all the shops/restaurants nearby. Although it is not a luxurious hotel, it is great value for money.... More

Well priced accommodation within the city walls, so great to just walk around. We had a clean, spacious bedroom with a private bathroom, with A/C, a small safe and cable TV. The breakfast is included and was really good. The staff is really friendly and very customer orientated: *I made the reservation and requested they call me to confirm the... More

It's a quite basic hotel, but in a well-kept building and with a VERY good and attentive staff. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was served in a kind and also professional way. I recommend it to travellers who don't care much about hotel frills and that want to stay in the walled part of the city! Thanks!

Hotel is located in a good location within the walled city, and it's a good value as long as you're not expecting a luxury hotel. Rooms are fairly minimalist -- limited furniture for placing your belongings, no clock, and limited lighting. The bathrooms are actually quite nice, probably recently redone, but don't include any toiletries other than a couple of... More

A nicely renovated hotel close to the historic center. The room was spotless and the a/c was working very well to keep it cool. Staff was very helpfull and nice. The jacuzzi on the rooftop wasn't working. Of course, there is not a lot of services but at 70 bucks a night in the historic center, what do you expect?... More

The hotel is located in a busy shopping street (cheap shoe outlets and fast food) in the busy San Diego neighbourhood of the historic centre, just across the Exito supermarket. It's central but Cartagena has more dreamy and laid back central locations, more near to charming restaurants. But those locations come with a -high- price. I likeked the way they... More

On of the dullest hotels I've ever been to. Although it is more expensive than hostels, there is no laundry service (staff takes your clothes to another hotel) and it's very pricey. Security is not high: only a small safe box in a room, there are no lockers to put your camera or notebook, so you have to leave it... More
