We were aware that going to San Andres meant that we were there for the beautiful waters and snorkeling, and that the resorts were not up to par. I've backpacked before and stayed in hostels, and this is pretty much what this place is. Hot running water is scarce, the sheets are stained, and the air conditioning is not reliable.... More

First off, San Andres is amazing. Go there and experience a little of Colombia and the best beaches, water you've ever seen. I traveled with my 62 yr old mother here and we had a great time. The Maryland was the perfect size hotel for us and our room was great with a view of the ocean. Pros and Cons... More

The Decameron Maryland hotel is very small and that is what we were looking for... Tranquility was our vacation theme this year... lets put it that way, that trip cost us 3000$ for both my wife and I, including airfare, taxes etc.for 1 week. So For a cheap all inclusive, it ok... we've traveled a bit in the south, about... More

My expectations were very high because of the words "All included Resort", so, I got disappointed about Maryland.Thats the simplest Decameron hotel of the island. In my case, there were no available rooms in the other Decamerons, so, I went to Maryland and spent the days and nights in the other hotels. Let me list some of the bad things... More

We only stayed here 1 night, and I thought it was a pretty good room. Everyone was friendly and the area was nice, the beds were comfortable, and it was a clean space. It was fine for a 1 day stay. I would recommend it. More

I had been to San Andres several times 25 years ago and its like nothing has changed, stuck in a timewarp like Havana, Cuba. Most taxis falling apart so pick one you would want to ride in. Taxi drivers though are very amiable and do not rip you off as its too small an island. Tour agency managed not to... More

We visited the Decameron Maryland for the 3 third time since discovering this not well known gem of an Island in 2006. For those who are daunted by the 'Colombia' attachment have no fear. First of all the island stands alone, 425 miles in the Caribbean Sea. There is three levels of policing/army on the island and you can't walk... More
