Although the hotel was just under renovation, it has poor manteinance. And was quite dirty. We have travelled throw North India for two weeks and hotel staff were always polite and friendly. Not here. Poor buffet and clients are tried as cattle. more

Hotel is value for money. It is situated in prime location opposite to Tdi mall, taj mahal is also not too far from here, after visit to taj u can also do some shopping there in tdi ,over all nice stay. more

This place resembled a 3* hotel (by Indian standards). The lobby was reasonably flash with rose petals around the water feature and lounges along the walls. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It had two single beds side by side, which is supposed to be a double room in India. The bathroom was okay with a shower over bath... more

Utkarsh Vilas is a large, fairly new hotel about 20 mins from the Taj Mahal. The rooms are large and clean, but look very tired already (crumbling bathroom tiles, threadbare carpet). We stayed at this place for 1 night and I'm sure glad it was just one night! I was traveling with my Mother and sister, the front desk was very, very rude. The place was HORRIBLE. The recepcionist was kind of rude and the room was disgusting. We had to bargain for the price because they were requesting 8000,at the end we got it for 4500 rupies and we definately had the impresion we were being fooled because we were european. I stayed there for 1 night...given I have stayed in many 5 stars hotels around the world, I would rate Utkarsh Vilas as 2 stars.. The room windows were dirty, dust all over the room...no safe in the room..breakfast was awful!!! Don't expect to see anything close to what is published on their website!!! more
