Situation is actually in Legian, about a kilometre north of Kuta, and hence quieter. Set about 400 metres back from the beach, in a friendly area of small shops. An easy walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants, massages.... This is a gorgeous little hotel with comfortable, clean rooms (with balconies) and two lovely swimming pools. Breakfast is average, but everything else is far better than the rate that you pay for the rooms. A great find. Very quiet and the staff are all extremely accommodating.

Excellent value and location. Had a delightful holiday here, so handy to shopping, dining, beach. Lovely staff and nicely laid out, quiet hotel. Not great with the room bookings though and often want guests to change rooms, and don't understand why it bothers people. The Grand Kumala is a wonderful hotel even if you don't consider the low rates at c.a. 30 USD p.n. Throw in the economic aspect in the equation and you have a winner!
