I stayed in the single roomed bungalow and found it very comfortable. I have sense told others about this best priced place to stay. It is in the middle of acres and acres of rice fields with amazing paths for walking and wondering around in which you can explore the hidden artists at work in thier somewhat hideouts. The Kupu... I stayed in a traditional bungalow for 2 days and fell in love with it. It's in the middle of the rice field but just less than 10 mins walk to Ubud's center, so it really matched my need. I love how simply it is, without television, hot water (not necessary at all coz the weather is quite hot.), air... More

What an amazing location in the middle of rice fields but still within easy access (a 10-15 minute walk) of Ubud's main street. The accommodation is certainly not luxurious but great for those who only need the basics - bed, toilet, shower (no hot water, TV, phones or WIFI). The breakfast provided was basic but delicious. Best of all you... More

I decided to stay in Kupu Kupu for a couple of days after a long international trip, in order to get some rest, which in fact I did. I had discovered them on a previous visit to Ubud, located in the middle of the rice fields 'hidden' behind Jalan Raya (the main street). It was a great decision indeed. Just... More

Kupu kupu’s location inside the ricefields makes a perfect environment for people trying to scape any busy city environment. The bungalows make anyone feel in touch with nature and by a short walk of 5-10 minutes through the fields, is easy to hit Ubud’s restaurants, shops and activities. I am very grateful with Begoña because she helped us arrange the... More

Kupu Kupu is nice and simple, don't expect luxury. Good value for money, (yummy) breakfast included, beautiful surroundings, 15 minutes walk through the rice fields to Ubud's main road, the staff is very friendly and Begonia is the most helpful person ever. She can recommend you interesting day trips and will arrange for you the details. We stayed in the... More

It was a 10-15minute walk to the centre. There are good walks through the rice fields close by also. Bagonia was very helpful with advise and can book trips and... More

Beautiful surroundings. Loved walking the paths between rice fields. I stayed in one of the bungalows up on stilts and loved reading and having breakfast on the outdoor "living room" below. It is beautiful but simple. If you like all the best amenities, you should look elsewhere, but this is a great place to experience a little of the real... More
