This is a beautifully maintained old hotel in Artesia, NM. Very clean, excellent furnishings. I loved that it didn't have wall-to-wall carpeting on the floors, which are impossible to clean well. This is a great small hotel! Elizabeth goes out of her way to make sure everything is wonderful. Wonderful, friendly service, clean! The pumpkin spice steel cut oatmeal and the panini breakfast sandwiches were great!!!! they have one room that accepts pets!!!

Artesia doesn't have much going for it unless you're in oil, but what it does have is this gorgeous hotel which makes up for the everything else. This was a great little boutique hotel in the oil town of Artesia. If you're planning a trip to Carlsbad Caverns definitely make the drive north. The rooms are spacious and the continental breakfast has everything you could want. All of the reviews are spot on from the honor refrigerator to the innkeeper.
