I've led many tours to Israel and have looked for a good hotel along the Sea of Galilee in Tiberias, Israel. This year, I chose the Gai Beach Hotel (again) because it's been the best option among mediocre choices based on the quality of the food, the service and the setting (all these usually have been very good). When our... More

This is certainly the best resort-style hotel on the Sea of Galilee. The hotels has very extensive and well maintained grounds. The pool is directly on the lake. And hotel guests receive free entry to the adjacent water park - a huge plus for families with kids. The rooms are dated, but clean and adequate. Breakfasts are good and so... More

There are many water slides and water sport activities in the resort. The rooms are standard hotel room, maybe a little bit rusty. The location is quite far from the city, but that doesn't really matter because there's nothing much to do in this city (especially not in the weekend). The food was good (like in all Israeli hotels) and... More

Old broken hairdryer. Lighting is florescent and old. Many people with our tour group had bathrooms needing repair. Restaurant workers are rude and turn their heads away when you ask them a question. (Most understand NO English). They do not have coffee available in the restaurant for dinner and tell you to go to your room and make instant!! The... More

Nice view of the Sea of Galilee. Disappointed that no hot water kettle provided. The rooms felt a bit old & need for renovation but they are clean. Free wifi in the room. Sometimes flies were spotted at the buffet spread during meals.

This hotel had an incredible setting, it's a shame the service didn't match the location. The rooms were fair. They were clean and comfortable. The food was very good quality served buffet style. The outdoor bbq meals were served very beautifully under the stars with a wonderful selection of entrees, sides, desserts, etc. The hotel bar was very lacking. The... More

After reading some reviews here on TripAdvisor, I was concerned about what we would find at Gai Beach. It was a pleasant surprise. Common areas are expansive and inviting. Grounds are well manicured with a true resort feeling. We were there with a group and in low season but I felt I'd have the same impression in the busiest of... More

I stayed here a few nights as our group toured the surrounding area. Nice hotel, clean, but quite busy. Without a doubt, the views are hard to beat as it is positioned right on the Sea of Galilee. Plenty of areas to get away by yourself and enjoy the scenery. The buffets were standard fare for the area, but well... More

Located on western shore of the Sea of Galilee it has a beautiful view of the Golan Heights. The grounds are well kept, pools and spa excellent. Meals are buffet style but the variety and quality of food is very good. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Our room was on the ground floor and had a nice semi secluded patio,... More

We began our tour of Israel with a three-night stay at this Leonardo property. In retrospect, overall it was probably the nicest of the three locations, when food and surroundings are taken into account. The property itself, like the other two Leonardo properties we stayed in, is dated. The room was spartan, with a partial view from the small balcony... More
