Only stayed one night before going to airport but thought the hotel lovely. Room has a massive bath, separate shower, large bed and was very clean. Staff very helpful and polite. Pool very good plenty of loungers, beach lovely. Lords restaurant near hotel brilliant food really good. more

Stayed here on 2 separate occasion in Feb 2010. Its a great location, food is excellent (average price by SL standards), great swimming pools, generally pretty chilled. Only negative is the service - it can be a bit hit and miss but overall would stay again. Tip - the better rooms are the higher in the hotel more

We arrived here after a beautiful roundtrip of 13 days with a personal guide. The arrival was a bit disappointing, it was a little bit of a mess, we got our welcome drink and had to finish it immediately. We stayed in the Beach for a week, with a couple of days spent in-land on a guided tour of the north of Sri Lanka (highly recommended). While a fair enough property, clean, comfortable and very basic ... i was mislead from the Small Luxury Hotel promise ... as this property offered very little luxury! ....
