This is a very hotel option for families on a budget. We paid $55/night during high season for a room for 3 (although we brought an inflatable baed for our child). It's not a 5-star resort but it's a lot of fun for kids. Because of all the kids running wild, I would not recommend this hotel for those without... more

Though i was skeptical at first, i later realized that Dolphin bay is truly a hidden gem, where pinks dolphins fluttered about in joy - not kidding - Having a clean and beautiful beach literally at my door step was an experience of a lifetime. More importantly whenever i needed to slip back and relax, the twin beautiful swimming pools... more

We stayed at DB for four nights in October with our two young girls, 8 and 6, and had a great time. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and seemed nice and clean. The service was relaxed and friendly and the food was fine. The hotel is on the beach but there were quite a lot of jellyfish around so... more

The rooms were well set up and clean, however our group had 2 rooms and the drain in the bathroom of one of the rooms was emitting a very bad smell. The hotel is in a great location however the resort needs some attention. There are two swimming pools and the water in them was filthy. The hotel appears to... more

We stayed in the Dolphin Resort in April 2008 app. for 8 nights and found a location which is almost in the middle of the nature (i.e. Sam Roi Yod) and not so much influenced by thousends of tourist and heavy traffic but close to the very friendly people of Thailand. The hotel itself was very clean, friendly and helpful... more

Very nice and quiet place for relaxing after Bangkok. Large clean and well maintained rooms with safe. Good breakfast and excellent restaurant with reasonable prices. Pool and garden in good condition and beach just 20m away. Close to Sam Roi Yod national park, very quiet traffic for renting a motorcycle. Only minor problem is that their is no "nightlife" in... more

I have been resident in Thailand (Bangkok) for the past 5 years and make 1-2 weekend trips a month all over Thailand (i.e. over 100 different hotels of all categories in many places). I can definitively say that the Dolphin was the poorest experience I and a number of my friends (we were 17 people in total) have ever had.... more

Dolphin Bay Resort is perfect for a semi-secluded, relaxing getaway. It is located about 45 minutes away from the center of Hua Hin, so would not be ideal for anyone looking for excitement, partying, or shopping. However, we were looking for a hotel close to the Sam Roi Yod National Park, and Dolphin Bay is only a few kilometers away.... more

What a great hidden spot. A beach front resort in Thailand without the thousands of tourists. The little village is almost day-to-day Thai life with a few resorts on the beach rd. Went there with my wife for a relax after trekking in the Himalayas & was perfect. Nice laid back resort with great massages & nice food. Probably aimed... more

I stayed in the upper floor room for 2 nights and 3 days in February 2009. I think the room was clean except the shower. It was very dirty which I had never seen that much dirty before from other hotels. The shower walls were very mouldy especially behind the shower curtain. I'm not really happy with this at all.... more
