We booked here because of the lovely reviews. The place was quiet - so quiet there was no one to talk to - none of the staff spoke English. There was no one to ask directions or advice......we did feel isolated and probably would not stay here again. The room was large but poor lighting and the beds were the... More

We stayed at Apple's Retreat because it was top choice in the lonely planet guide & it certainly lived up to the reviews! As soon as we turned up someone came out to greet us & show us around. Apple herself was a great help in planning our next days activities & even a driver for us. For 990 BHT... More

What can I say? I stayed at Apple's Retreat in February. Both Apple and Noy are simply lovely, the other staff are charming, the location is perfect (away from the centre but easily walkable), and the food sublime. The rooms are simple and lovely, with very comfortable beds. I also did the cooking course, which was also superb and highly... More

I think this place is AMAZING the staff are very friendly and there is a family orientated feel at the retreat. They speak very good English and are able to have a laugh and joke with you. The food is stunning and everything is cooked fresh. I highly recommend the cooking course where Noi's extensive knowledge and passion for Thai... More

A year ago I was in Thailand, so I've been reminiscing about it. I thought I'd reviewed the places I stayed but seemingly not! I really liked this little place. The rooms are great value (sure, you can get cheaper in Kanchanaburi, but it's still unbelievably priced compared to the West), and Noi who runs it is lovely. The restaurant... More

We stayed at Apples' early April and extended our stay from 2 to 3 nights because we found it so beautiful and pleasant. We were immediately shown to our room (without a prior booking) which featured a large comfortable bed with en-suite. The room had a quirky lay out with a nice "garden" area next to the shower. The guesthouse... More

Food is good but service if bad. Price for food is quite high. they will never see me again. Staff is so roud, very poor. They are only interested in... More

the prices are a bit above average but rooms are all new and very beautiful. the walls are not very thick though so you probably wake up very early because of other guests etc... staff helpful but restaurant of the guesthouse is very expensive. luckily there are many cheaper options on the road on the other side of the bridge...

We just returned from a 12 day vacation to Thailand. We stayed at Apple's Retreat for two of these nights! The most important thing you should know is to make sure your taxi driver knows exactly where to go! Ours struggled to find the correct resort. Once we got there, we fell in love! It is right on the River... More

Beautiful location near the river. It was quiet and peacefull. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and you can book a cooking class if you want to. There were lots of books to read. And the food was delicious.
