When we first arrived we were a little nervous as it was right down an alley (lit) but still first site you think wow! But then we got there, this lovely lady came out showed us to our room which is so big, comfy bed, good shower, clean and a/c. We went down stairs for some dinnerand she gave us... More

It's hard to be too critical of a guesthouse costing <600 Baht per night in high-season, but I've stayed in others in Thailand in this price-range, and they provided a better experience than here. This guesthouse rates somewhere between 2-3 stars (poor-to-average) for me, using the Tripadvisor ranking criteria. On the whole, I left disappointed, and I won't be considering... More

Got this on agoda, £12/night. We are a couple who stayed for 3 nights. Nice family run guesthouse, the son speaks English and was always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean.air conditioning worked very well. About 25 minute walk to the bridge but you can get a taxi and be there in 5 minutes. Lots... More

We had a downstairs room facing the office - room C. The room was quiet large with a double and single bed, TV, table and chair, and a drying rack. There was also an ensuite wet room and another 'room' that was open to the outdoors with slits in the wall - we tried drying clothes in there but they... More

We stayed at the Thai Guest House in Oct. 2012 for a weekend. Location is excellent. It's on the main road with all the bars, restaurants, car rentals etc. but without to much of the downsides like loud noise and much traffic, because the building is 30 meters behind the gateway and separated to the street by a row of... This mother-and-son operation is a definite winner if you're staying around backpackerland in Kanchanaburi. Starting at 350 baht, the rooms are incredibly large and spacious with massive beds, TVs (if you need any additional entertainment whilst in SEA), large bathrooms, clothes rack; and, if you're in an upstairs rooms, even a balcony! The family also supply toilet paper. My only... More

Stayed here in early 2012, found the place by luck, just walking through the town. It turned out to be one of the best stays ever. Close to town conveniences, very reasonable price, extremely clean, and I made a very good friend, Note. I will definitely return, one day.

The best place to stay in Kanchanaburi..! It's cheap & clean. Everything else is just a stone throw away, from nightclubs to bars to eateries to pharmacies to amenities. It's like in the center of everything else.
