Booked as the #1 hotel in the area on Tripadvisor, great location near the Gion tube station and easy walk to Hakata station. Unlike some of the comments on this site, the shower was great and the room comfortably big enough for two. Impressive spread for breakfast. Overall, a very pleasant night's sleep.

I took the free shuttle from Fukuoka International Airport, transferred to its domestic terminal and then took the subway to the hotel. Good location between Tenjin and Hakata. Well-equipped hot spring and sauna in the hotel, which you can enjoy any time from 3pm to 10am. Free LAN Internet available in rooms. The only downside was that the on-site parking was expensive. Also, they don't have usual cotton yukata that is common in Japanese hotels, providing only ill-fitting polyester t-shirts and pants!
