Stayed overnight at this hotel so just had a limited exposure to it. My room was large, maybe got a better deal than some of the other reviewers. I was catching the Shinkansen to Tokyo the next morning so this was a very convenient location. The breakfast buffet was good enough, the computer access was no problem...I had WiFi, don't... More

Adjacent and connected to Sendai train station, this is a very convenient location for business or pleasure in Sendai. Rooms are standard Japanese style (read : small) but with all you would require. Prices are reasonable too. Only cable LAN, no wifi in most rooms, as in the case in many Japanese hotels. Carry a pocket router if you want... More

For us, Sendai was a rest stop for our Sapporo to Fukuoka JR train trip. We needed a hotel that was close to the Shinkansen and clean and reasonably priced. this hotel fits the bill. to me, this hotel is just good for sleep and shower. Its nice and clean but I didn't feel really comfortable in the room. Perhaps... More

As others say this hotel is immediately adjacent to the Sendai train station and is connected via underground to a large department store and shopping complex. It is a fair price for a Japanese business hotel. As per most Japanese hotels the service borders on fawning, the cleanliness is immaculate, and the standard rooms are small by American standards. This hotel is a very short walk from the bullet train tracks. It is quiet and has excellent staff. The interior is a bit on the older side, but the rooms are quiet functional. The resturants are very good. However, Wifi is only available sitting in the middle of the lobby. Overall, it is probably hard to beat for the... More

This hotel sits right at Sendai JR station and adjacent to a department store with a huge range of places to eat - so well connected that you don't even need to go outside to go to the station, shopping or dining - which is great given the heat and humidity in summer (or cold in winter).

We stayed in several hotels in Japan on this trip, and the Hotel Metropolitan Sendai was by far the nicest. Fantastic location, adjacent to Sendai station and very close to the main shopping/dining areas. My wife and I had a double room - it was large by Japanese standards, and there was plenty of room for our stuff. The 160cm... More

Location is fantastic! Right next door to the main shopping centres and train station (less than 2 minutes walk). The shops stay open until 9pm every night so easy to get your shopping in! Also close to lots of bars and restaurants, which was great for our quick one night stay. Sendai itself is a lovely clean city, bustling but... More

In the midst of the restaraunts (2 floors down in the mall), great shopping centre attached to the hotel, the main Sendai train station is also attached making it so easy to gey around. The location can not be beat. The rooms have a semi traditional Japanese bath shower which is great at the end of the day. Wifi in... More

Made brief visit to hotel for conference. Very well organised, vast numbers of exhibition staff, excellent wifi on all floors, and very good international restaurant. Only 95 minutes from Tokyo (357 kilometres), including two stops, by outstanding new Hayabusa train, and hotel is right outside station. Would definitely stay there again.
