- excellent location - all the following locations are accessible from the hostel -> taxi station in front, changer, grocery, restaurants, and a bar to the right, and gaya street for the sunday market and lots of shops/restaurants at the back. - wonderful service - my companion had problems with her flight, so we had to change bookings multiple times... I and my wife stayed here for 3 nights beginning of January 2013. The place is in the city centre. Walking distance from restaurants, shopping mall and jesselton pier. I made the booking, but for wrong dates. The receptionist was very kind and gave us a room at the rate I got from Booking.com. The room had working A/C, was... More

I typically stay at City Park Lodge on my trips to Kota Kinabalu, usually because I am on a budget. The owner and staff are always friendly and can arrange for airport transfer at a nominal fee if you request it. The most important thing here is however the location. You are minutes away (walking distance) from everything, whether it... More

I just booked a Twin Private room for me and my colleague for a short vacation on Oct 31 to Nov 5. May I know how long will it take from the airport to this hotel? What is the mode of transportation and how much is the fare?

Stayed here for 4 nights, the hotel rooms are clean and the location are near to everything (jetty to islands, gaya market, eateries). very good wifi connection and free pc usage. but there is no lift in the hotel, so as others mentioned, climbing stairs up to 3rd floor is not an easy task. luckily i got the room at... I stayed a nite after our climb up Mt Kinabalu.. The room was clean and fairly comfy for a great nite rest.. Location is great.. It was a street away from the Sunday Market at Gaya Street, Lots of coffee shops for food.. I was in a lounge for a short while - had a PC where I could access... More

Good things about staying here : - The air conditioning at Room 403 (Queen bed with window) was very powerful. It chilled the room within a jiffy! - The hot shower was blissful. It was very powerful, as good as a body massage but could be quite pain. The temperature control was great as I couldn't tolerate much heat while... More

The location was great. The price was cheap. The room was really really small. It was just enough for 2 twin beds, which were placed very close to each other. No other furniture in the room, and with our luggage having no place to put in, there was barely enough room for us to walk. Toilet was clean. Shower only.... More

The staff is friendly. There is a provision of food you can use for a breakfast. Rooms are small, but clean. Stairs are steep, no lifts, a bit uncomfortable with heavy luggage. The organization of events by the hotel (rafting, Mt Kinabalu) was ok.

After a dissapointing hostel i turned up unnanounced at CPL, they were more than happy to put me up for 3 nights and were extremely friendly. The hostel is clean, you have access to a computer, the bathrooms are a good size and you are central to kk. As lone female traveller who had had some less than savoury accommodations... More
