Was due to spend 7 days in Maison du Sud but bugged out after only two. Riyad was very ethnic,musty,dusty ,noisy-you don't need an early morning call as the local mosque provides one for you !! Beautiful traditional riad run by attentive and friendly staff right in the heart of the bustling medina. Rooms fairly basic but spacious and clean. Beakfast also basic but plentiful and served with courtesy and charm in the art filled ground floor courtyard. Terrace rooms provide a view of the medina rooftops and the wonderfully clear Moroccan night sky.

Romantic riad run by lovely people in the heart of Essaouira's medina. Indoor fountains were filled with rose petals; ivy trailed from interior balconies down stone pillars and into the central courtyards below. Bedroom and bathroom were basic but comfortable. Overall: a delightful experience.
