This is a haven that is well off the beaten track but also within easy walking distance of all the main sights. St Petersburg is very beautiful but there is a lot of traffic (auto and pedestrian) which inevitably gets funnelled by the bridges, so there is a lot to be said for staying somewhere tranquil!
