A disappointing hostel located in the heart of bustling KL. The only endearing feature was the communal area by reception which feels like someone’s living room. I had a single room which felt more like a hospital waiting room with a sweaty, sticky plastic cover underneath the sheet and a lack of both space and quietness. The dorm didn’t look... More

Nothing special about this place - just your regular hostel, but with a good vibe and friendly staff. The location is a great plus and the area interesting enough with the huge mall across the street and wonderful little eating places around. Our private room was basic and the beds could be better IMHO, but alas, no bedbugs, the AC... More

Good hostel, friendly staff and nice cosy rooms. The location is the main winner for the hostel, its very close to the transport and where the bus from singapore dropped me off. It's also next to a huge mall (which has a roller coaster inside!), so anything you do need is super close. Good place for solo travelling

Cannot recommend this place enough. Centrally located opposite Times Square its a great base for exploring the city. Run by the super efficient, super friendly & super helpful Hadi, its also very sociable, with a relaxing chill out communal area with tv, dvds & books for all to use. Hadi made sure I had all the information & tips I... More

We were welcomed to Equator even though we arrived at almost midnight. We were greeted, shown around then taken to our room on the third floor. Our room was comfortable and quiet, down an open sided corridor to the back of the building, almost en suit with the toilets and showers next door. The AC worked very well and the... More

If I just want to chill out then they have an huge range of DVDs you can borrow for free, 2 PC's or... More

As a 20-year-old, my stay in Kuala Lumpur was the first time that I had ever been to Southeast Asia. I found Hady (the lady at the front desk) to be extremely welcoming and friendly. I even had a really meaningful conversation with her one morning during my stay for about an hour. She was very helpful with travel tips... More

I stayed at Equator Hostel for a night when I was in KL. I had also booked the hostel for a week earlier but then found out a friend of mine would be in town and I could stay with her at her parents' house. So I canceled my reservation over a week before I would be staying, as they... More
