Stayed at the SFA for business meeting. The room was great. Upgraded to a suite. No complaints. The meetings rooms were fine. The breakfasts and lunch provided were great. Would choose SFA whenever visiting Austin.

Our first (and lovely room) on the 9th floor was right next to the elevators. While resting in the room we heard a consistent clack-clack-clack as one of the elevators moved up and down. I've stayed here a few times, and enjoyed it every time. There is a certain amount of history seeping into the place, but it is still modern enough to make you not worry about the wiring. Stayed here for a work function. The hotel is centrally located downtown adjacent to Sixth Street. It has a vibrant bar and restaurant - great people watching. Loved the second floor deck although the cigar and cigarette smoke was tough on my eyes - YES apparently you can still smoke in Texas.

Large clean rooms, internet is serviceable but could be better. Quaint bar. Service was great. Really interesting hotel in a great location. Would recommend staying there. Bed was comfortable. This hotel has real character and is not the standard box like hotel
