Wonderful suite, service was outstanding, food absolutely the best I have had at any hotel. My wife fell in love with the bridal suite. A wonderful way to celebrate our 42nd. anniversary. Thanks to the wonderful staff for making it memorable. More

The Driskill is the oldest hotel in Austin, I believe, but it has been kept up nicely. Very friendly staff throughout. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on (no trouble falling or staying asleep). And they are kitty-corner to all the action on Sixth Avenue - 4 blocks of live music in nearly every bar. The... More

The hotel is jaw-dropping gorgeous. When we arrived and the bellman opened the door to the lobby I felt like we were swept into a fairy tale! It is so rich in architechtural beauty with lots of artwork to walk around and look at in the lobby and on the different floors for the rooms as well as in the... More

Older hotel - old world charm, but best in class service from the reception, bellmen, servers, and room service (used every night - great milk and chocolate chip cookies!) Great location to downtown events. More

The Driskill is in a great part of town, close to everything. The people working there were very friendly. The hotel definitely has a Texas feel. The rooms are on the small side. It's an older building. On our last night at the hotel the power went out from 1am until 815am. We were given glow sticks so we could... More

Tiny room. We got the giggles over the size, but we weren't there for the room. Shower size was amazing however.Nice staff. Very polite. More

I just returned from a trip to Austin for business where we stayed at the Driskill. the Location is perfect and the hotel itself, beautiful. What really sets this hotel apart from others is the INCREDIBLE service we received while there. From accomodating room change requests, to running a quick errand, every staff member I came in contact with was... More

The Driskill is a beautiful historical building that has a lot of character. In other words, it is an old building. We spent only one night and our main problem with the stay was the temperature in the room. Our thermostat was not working consistently. When we called engineering, the air that was blowing was warm. The minute he left,... More
