I have stayed at this hotel many times and was always happy with the service, etc. But this time it was well below par. $230.00 a night and they don't care enough about their guests to brew a pot of decaffeinated coffee. Or offer breakfast from a menu (they only offered buffet-style). When I told the host I was displeased, he just shrugged. The housekeeping staff didn't even bother to change the clock in my room to DST. What is happening to this hotel??

Hotel's Favourite
The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was so clean and beautiful, and ideally located. Nice view with large rooms and very comfortable beds and pillows . The hotel is right across the street from the trolleys, trains, and buses. You can take the trolleys for free downtown near the waterfront and ride them back till 11 o’clock at night.

I attended a conference at this hotel and found it to be a comfortable place. This hotel is conveniently located right on King Street and next to the King Street Metro Station, so you can catch a train to pretty much anywhere. The staff are friendly and helpful - one of the conference rooms had issues with audio, and a staff member came immediately to fix the issue. There's a Starbucks inside with plenty of seating. I also appreciated that there are a lot of restaurants within walking distance, so we were able to walk to a restaurant for lunch.

This hotel is very conveniently located across the street from the Metro and Amtrak stations. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. My one complaint is with the breakfast buffet. For some reason, all of the bagels are cinnamon raisin. There should be plain bagels, too. (I did ask my server if they had any other bagels and he said they did not.) One day, I ate breakfast as soon as the restaurant opened at 6 a.m. I was surprised that the breakfast potatoes on the buffet were not hot.

An older building perfectly situated for a couple of days in Alexandria, Bar / restaurant was fine but given the range snd availability of the restaurants nearby means you have better choices available. We would recommend it as a base though. Very easy to access the white house etc - the weekend metro ticket was i think $2 each wsy

First time for me staying here in many years, though traveling partner (lifetime Diamond) had many encounters here as a paying customer in the 15 years prior to Covid. One week stay. This was a very different and special, and in some ways more difficult stay, and the staff went above and beyond, and far out of their way to be helpful thoughtful. Very, very much appreciated. These are tough situations for hotel staffers. Parking is under the hotel and is not free. It is convenient, though, and in - and - out is easy. This property is located near the metro, so if you take the metro, you can walk there in a minute, literally. Lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Starbucks is in the lobby. Security in the lobby, therefore may not be comfortable for some folks. People who aren't staying here are in and out of the lobby freely. Breakfast is typically buffet style, with items changng daily. Always really nice fresh fruit on the buffet, eggs, potatoes, all sorts of foods, hot and cold. Ate breakfast there 7 mornings in a row and enjoyed all of them. Breakfast staff included a Hilton veteran who is top-notch. Kudos to him. Did not eat dinner here. So many very trendy bars and so much fine dining in the area. Room was as expected, TV worked just fine, beds were comfortable, little coffeemaker worked fine, too. One morning there was an issue with no hot water inthe bathroom. The shower head is a big rain sort of head that is too weak to really rinse well, so showers take a long time. This is a common problem these days in hotels. Housekeeping was erratic. Often didn't leave enough towels (one washcloth and one handtowel for 2 people), no coffee, and that sort of thing. The desk remedied it right away when told, though. One issue that the hotel couldn't help was that the last night of our stay, someone (a drunken fool, I am guessing) pulled the fire alarm at midninght. We were fast asleep, as were many others. Had to evacuate and stand outside until the all clear came. Was not ever sure what happened. Hotel probbaly should have posted a sign inthe elevators or the lobby saying what happened and that they apologize for the inconvenience or somethng. Couldn't get back to sleep after an hour out on the sidewalk. The very savvy breakfast staffer comped our breakfast, which was largely paid for (Lifetime Diamond), but that was a really smart move on his part, as far as a gesture from the property. (Left him a 20 as a tip to show our appreciation to him) It was a good week here and we will certainly be returning here as part of a long journey. Thanks to all here for your help along the way.

I am not a Hilton fan and this place reminded me why (it’s been about 9 years). Positive: the hotel was clean and quiet. My chagrin was the lack of usb outlets (doesn’t matter what kind, there were none except the old back of the tv which I usually only do in Airbnb) and even the electric outlets- there were none close enough to the bed that you could charge your device while using it. It was also raining one morning and I asked to borrow an umbrella but they were not available. It’s a super walkable place (right next to the metro) which makes the lack of umbrellas irritating. I was part of an event block and did not receive the gift bag that was to be included.

TV had issues upon check in. Maintenance came and fixed the cable. The worst part was the fire detector starting to go off at 5:30 am of night 2, and it taking an hour for the maintenance person to come fix it, so missed sleep. It did not help to see the cleaning person sitting on the floor by her cart in the middle of the hall. Meeting room for the conference I attended was freezing cold. Boxed lunch served at conference was not great. Not a great stay for an expensive hotel. Definitely do not recommend.

Enjoyed the trip and proximity to highway for work. Staff was cordial, food was good, parking was average, and room was decent. Overall would recommend for a stay and was interested in going back however the price increased over 200%. Check price and if reasonable would recommend.

Stayed hete for a conference otherwise I would have moved hotels. Room is ok although I am level with the local metro station so get noise from the trains and passengers! That's not the issue, had problems at breakfast with very few staff..until hotel managers come in they they 're appear' from the back room! Waited over 10 mins at my table for a menu ...by contrast the hotel team were seated and given menus in 30 seconds! So much for respecting guests requirements!
