This hotel is nice and the staff were very friendly, but the hotel is old and needs to be updated. The rooms have great furniture, but the wallpaper was coming off the walls in the corners. A good hotel, but not the standard I would expect from a Sheraton.

Overall, a good experience.
Pros:
- Close to Reagan Airport, 10 min tops, with a free shuttle.
- clean rooms, comfortable beds, and roomy (being suites)
- half hour from the city and not that far from the metro
- comfortable & service was good

Regularly stay here when in Alexandria. The suite room lay-out is terrific or the business traveler. Very accommodating staff are a plus. Now with an Enterprise car rental desk in the lobby, it is most convenient.
