We stayed for a couple of nights and booked a family room with mezzanine online but when we checked in were given a different room which was a bit moldy. This is a nice property with welcoming staff and a good location close to beaches, restaurants and some good shopping opportunities. I came to Pousada Azul after a *horrible* experience at a nearby inn. Beatriz, the owner, could not have been more welcoming - she speaks excellent English and has plenty of suggestions for things to do. Other staff do not speak English but you can communicate easily in "Portugnol" and make yourself understood, and they are happy to help you... More

Pousada Azul was a great experience. My room had an upper level bed with no air conditioner, but fan in the room kept me cool. Bathroom was nice and clean. Lounge area was great after a long day of exploring and breakfast was good. Banana cake and real fruit juices were always great. Staff are a bunch of lovely ladies.... More

I was a bit disappointed with Pousada Azul. The room I was given wasn't very nice - it was dingy and damp - and definitely didn't relfect the photographs from their website. The staff are friendly and the free and quick internet access is a bonus but I wouldn't choose to stay there again.

The people at Pousada Azul are not simply nice, they´re actualy kind.
