This small hotel was booked for us by Ivan who lives in Salvador and helped organise our few days in Salvador. It is a very beautiful and historic building. The room was OK but there was no safe, bedside lights or hot water which is why I have described it as only OK. Breakfast was good and served on a... More

There's a couple that run this place, Xander and Diane. They greeted us at 1am when we arrived at the hotel after a long flight from Sao Paolo with a warm welcome but gave us our space as they could see we were very tired, helping us with the check-in, carrying our luggage etc. While this is not by any... I would stay there again if I went back to Salvador. Diana and Sandro took care of us very well and gave us good advice on where to go. Breakfasts are tasty, with fresh breads, juices and decent coffee and tea. The location was very good for us during the carnival because it is not in the direct center of... More

Although we only spent 2 nights here, we were really impressed by the charm of the renovated old inn, the owners' hospitality, and the peaceful location of the pousada, even though it was a very short, safe walking distance from Pelhorinho. This is the area that you want to be in if you're planning a trip to Salvador! Breakfast was... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room had two balconies and was gigantic. It felt like luxury after some hostels we stayed at. The owner is very kind and helpful. Good breakfast as well.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights before moving on to Morro de Sao Paulo. It was really cute and charming, everything very colorful and nice decorated! They close during winter season, so we have been one of the first guests (and I guess we have been the only guests during our stay) when they opened up for spring.... More

The pousada is conveniently located 10mn away from the Peloriho, the very center of Salvador and we always felt safe walking back walking late at night. This pousada (http://www.colonialpousada.com/) was a charming place to rest your head after late nights in the Pelorinho. It's just a 15 minute walk to the heart of the Pelorinho. This pousada is very charming and well run. We stayed in a superior suite which was large yet simple: high ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, nice bed, hammock in the veranda, small fridge.
