I traveled to Fortaleza with two friends in January 2012 and we stayed at this hotel after doing a little research on the Internet. It offered good price for a triple room and the location was what made me opt for it. And I'm glad I did! The staff was friendly, I liked the food, and we had tours everyday.

This place has seen better times. Although the rooms are a good size, the furniture is old and everything is rather seedy. The bathrooms are tiny. Being charged for wifi is also not a plus. The breakfast is good though.

This hotel is ideally located on the beach front. A big tip, the hotel rooms rented by the Othon are 3 star quality at best, the privately let rooms are mainly 4/5 star quality & they are half the price. It could easely be a five star. All the rooms are large and with ocean view, very well located in front of Meireles beach near "feirinha" in nice premises, and a resonable service. The bad side is the linen (bed and towels), the forniture (very small beds) and the noise in the rooms.

Stayed here for two days in a business trip. Location is good, right besides the Japanese Garden ("Jardim Japonês", a place most of the taxi drivers will know) and within walking distance to restaurants and to the Iracema's night market. Really an excellent location, the Beira Mar promenade and the ocean are just across the street. The famous daily "feirinha" is on walk distance, just like the restaurants Coco Bambu and Ancora, Pizza House and 50 flavours ice parlor.
