As a pousada is somewhere betwee a hostel and a hotel, it is difficult to rate such a place. In the category of simple hotels, I`d give it a 4 star rating, as a hotel, it is average to good.

This is a fantastic place to stay, very friendly and also clean.
Unfortunately, we had not such a good experience as the others. Our rooms was smelling and we had small worms in the shower. The bathroom was under water (they repaired the leaking toilet on the other day)...

we've been there twice already, and its not enought! ilha grande is great and yes pousada is the best out there, especialy 'cause of the people!!!
This pousada is more like a small hotel, there are about 20 plus en suite rooms, it is very clean and in a quiet area of Ilha Grande about 5 minutes from where the ferry docked. The staff were very nice, but there is no one who speaks english. The room we had was 80 reals and with the breakfast...
