The location is right at the beach, absolutely perfect if you're a beach bum! 5-8 minutes walking to the historic center is also pretty sweet. Stayed for one night during the height of the carnival weekend. Really lovely welcome. The rooms are basic but the location is great. Right on the beach and a very short walk into the centre if the historic town of Paraty. Would recommend.

What a location! On the beautiful beach with stunning surrounds. So close to the historic quarter, river, markets and basketball courts. It's a dolly to get from the main bus station to this hostel. Hostel was great! The rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable, and felt downright luxurious after 2 weeks traveling around Brazil. I moved into Refron after discovering that the Misti Chill (which I'd booked into online before my trip) was a complete dump. Refron is a million times nicer - I had a very clean and spacious room which was cleaned and tidied daily. Refron had the best bathroom out of all the places I stayed on my trip to Brazil... More

We only stayed one night at Refron, but we were really pleasently surprised! The owner Victor was incredibly helpful - we has trouble booking some bus tickets and he spent the entire night helping us. Besides the excellent service the rooms were very nice.
