The hotel has a great location in Ipanema but that is all. The front desk staff are unfriendly and seemed not happy to work there at all. In one occasion I saw two of the receptionist arguing. Like many hotels in Rio, Everest is a monument of the 70's. Probably was build on that decade with the decoration maintained as is, a little decadent. The room had musty smell, the carpet was dirty, the corridors are really dark. Breakfast is good, with good views of the beach. Anyway, I will not return. More
