An underwhelming welcome at reception, an outdoor sink and poorly maintained rental bikes were the negatives. Movie show, quality pizza (at a price), other nice guests in the common area were the positives.

We stayed here for three nights in February. Location: Great, about 10 minutes max walk from the bus staion, very close to the river. One of my favourite hostels in China - has a great vibe and atmosphere. The room is value for money, although as another reviewer mentioned, shared bathrooms at the rooftop in the middle of January was quite...interesting. It's a beautiful old fashin chineese building. my single room was big,very clean,had big window with a beautiful view of the Li river and the mountains.there was a good heating of the room and a good hot shower.The staf was very nice,polite,friendly,halpful,and spoke good Inglish.They even organised a nice party for Christmas.There is a beautiful vieu from the roof top...
