I'm suprised that the Haad Tien is only number 8 for accommodation on Koh Tao as looking at what else was on offer it was definitely miles ahead of the rest! Many thanks for the review, in regards to the quality of the beach and the coral in front of the resort, certain times of the year the tides are a lot lower than other months , then again when the pictures were taken it was high tide with a great beach, we still have a great beach and great snorkeling...
