We arrived after a morning of sand storms and the camp was cleaner than expected under the circumstances the pool was full and the water clear. The communal areas are very attractive, especially at night. The staff we met were all very helpful and friendly. The tents are small but they do have electric light and uk type socket. My... More

we opted for an air-conditioned room rather than a tent and it was quite pleasant. The food was good and the restaurant area quite nice. Staff not over friendly but OK. the biggest challenge here is the lack of maintenance and the fact that the swimming pool was empty and dirty - giving the impression that no one really cared... More

Not the outdoor experience we expected. Arrived to be welcomed by loud music and over 100 teenagers dancing, running around. Food was mediocre. Lounge space was pleasant, although chilly. Rooms were sufficient, however thin mud walls meant you could overhear conversations. Three in our party suffered food poisoning. Hotel didn't book a room for our guide. Service lacking. Has great... I rarely give places a poor rating but.....we had a poor welcome and were not told what was going on ie what time was supper, that the loo block was shut, where breakfast was etc, in fact bait ali was very unwelcoming as they initially couldnt find our booking even when we had our luggage sent ahead and it was... This wasn't my first choice so I was a little apprehensive after booking and from the photos I thought it looked like a desert Butlins, Heidi Hi Camp. I was very wrong and the staff really friendly, the amenities were very good. We opted for the chalets, one king and one twin, they were comfortable and cool and had good... More

Our group of seven travelers (4 women and 3 men with age ranges from 25 to 65) stayed two mid-week nights in March. In short, we all thought the Bait Ali was an excellent desert-camp experience. Our group consisted of travelers from the USA and Kuwait with the goal of seeing several sights in Jordan including Petra and Wadi Rum.... More

During our Jordan roundtrip we stayed one day and one night in Bait Ali. Having booked the accomodation through our reliable travel agency we were surprised so read some recent very negative comments about that camp an worried what might happen to us. As a summary: It was the best accomodation and the best service we had during our entire... More

I added this review two weeks ago, then I have to remove it to make an update. However, I will leave most of what I previously wrote because it is fair for all travellers to know where they are heading to, but also it is fair for the camp to mention that they were cooperative. I went with my wife... More

Stayed here for one night on a rather cold night in Wadi Rum.There were about 4 other guets that night so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We stayed in a chalet, which was just OK.The food was just average.Did not really see any of the staff members, the place was pretty dead.We really enjoyed our dune buggy ride.Overall, this place has... The excitement of staying in the desert and staying in a camp with the necessary luxuries were stamped out pretty quick. It's like checking into a Super 8 motel or similar. The checking in was quite smooth. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were tents as well as 'chalet' like rooms. Room was clean but mediocre for a... More
