Glad that I stayed just for 1 night, but that 1 night cause me to have a bar flu, as I am allergic to dusty. The place itself is okay, and quite convenient for those who just want to stay for a day transit, as it is near to the airport, and only 20mins to Sepilok Orang Utan. The place is rundown, as u can see in the pictures, they seem not to have effort to change the bad wall paper, clean the dusty etc. Really need to refurbish again. Stay away if u have an allergic to dusty, u will regret like me. But a good area for transit in terms of location. Breakfast food was just okay.

We had a slight change to our itinerary and stopped here on the off chance. We had a clean, but musty smelling room with a hint off cigarettes. Nice comfy double bed, a great shower and room service. It was all we wanted and were satisfied with them all. Food was good. We had a breakfast as part of our stay and the accommodated for the western palate as well as the Malay, simple but adequate. It took us 15 minutes to drive to The Orangutan Centre at Sepilok the following morning.

The Pavilion, Sandakan Reception staff (JoJo) was friendly and polite. The entrance/lobby looked quite nice. We wish we had looked at the room before paying for it as it was appalling. We realised we'd made a huge mistake booking the room firstly when we got into the lift which smelt of cigarettes and was in dire need of a good clean and secondly when we got out of the lift and saw the state of the corridor carpet which was covered in stains. When we got into our room things did not improve. The room had a bad smell to it. The floor wasn't very clean. The headboard had stains on it. The pillows smelt of sweat. There were marks on the not so white sheets. There was a door in our room that joined the room next door!! This was unlocked and there was no way for us to lock it so we jammed a chair under the handle. We were thankful that we had only booked the one night. Breakfast was basic. We were glad to be moving on. This hotel is not cheap in comparison to some of the other hotels. The following night we booked into the Sabah Hotel which cost us only a fraction more but this hotel was beautiful in every single way. Book Sabah Hotel NOT The Pavilion!!!

Booked a room without window for a day stay. Breakfast was included in the price rate which was nice (coffee was good). Amenities inside the room were basic but nevertheless enough. Staffs were friendly and helpful too! Strategic place to look for food outlet too!

Overall very disappointing. The room was small, the wallpaper came off the walls, the AC was very loud and also the traffic outside was extremely good notable. Only upside is that we only paid EUR25 for an overnight room with breakfast. What can one expect for this price?

Hotel is good distant from airport. Arrived at 9am. Rooms ready but RM30 charged for early cheked in. Acceptable extra price. Simple breakfast available at RM18x4...not value for money. Unless come with room. Optional local food restoran within the vicinity. Grab cars easily available (plus point). Orang utan sepilok centre is a good distant too. Rooms ok ok. Abit rundown but housekeeping is ready to assist. Front office staff v helpful. Mgmt allowed extended checked out time due to flight issue. May recommend friends to stay for short period.

Pleasant to stay, and ease of access for out-station work there. However, the reservation section has given my booked room away on 2 separate occasions, in spite of me phoning up a few times to confirm that I am almost reaching there on the way from Kota Kinabalu. Is this acceptable?

Just an average stay. Reception was smooth but other services could be better. Standard room amenities equivalent to 3 stars hotel. Good selection of TV channels and spacious room were the plus points. On the other hands, stained bed covers and hair on shower room floor were the minus points. Eateries were walking distance you will be spoilt with varieties of local foods. Overall, it is good for travellers on budget.

Last year 2016, i have been stay here for several night for a period of 4 month due to outstation. The room is quiet good and comfortable and all the facilities works well. What i like about this hotel is their serving breakfast which is quite tasty and worth of it. Meanwhile the location is good & suitable as it's not too far from the airport and their staff are also friendly & helpful. However i would suggest if they could drop down the price a little bit.

We stopped here for lunch, organised by our tour operator, on the way to the airport. It was a simple buffet but very tasty. It was clean and well presented with local business men eating there, which is always a good sign. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
