A simple and peaceful owner-operated lodge about 20km south of Miri. The rooms are either longhouse lodge style or else more like a simple motel room in the main building with fan, AC and private bathroom. There's a small pool, and lovely tropical gardens with heaps of fruit and vegetables - the same ones you'll find in your dinner. Meals... More

[About us: We travelled as a couple and spent three nights at Treetops Lodge, with a trip to Niah Caves in between. We are vegetarians.] The good: -Idyllic setting, far away from town. Short walks nearby. Friendly villagers. -Laid back, accommodating hosts -A private beach fifteen minutes away (by foot) from the Lodge. -Clean rooms with working fans and air... More

Spent two nights here and absolutely loved it. A gorgeous little place to relax, especially for nature lovers. Didn't even bother visiting the city itself. Hosts were lovely and very accommodating, and the vegetarian food was some of the best I've ever had. Beautiful surrounds - good for walking and running. I even fell in love with the resident dogs!... More

We stayed two nights in oneof the air conditioned rooms of this delightful place. Great breakfast and great noodles at lunch time and a super terrace outside the rooms with comfortable outdoor furniture to sit with a book or a glass of wine or make use of the tea/coffee making facilities in the shared outdoor area. Lovely gardens to stroll... More

We stayed in one of the air conditioned rooms for three nights. It was pretty basic - only a couple of hooks to hang our clothes - but comfortable enough. Lovely views from the first floor balcony over the Lembar hills. A ten minute walk to a wonderful beach and two lovely welcoming dogs and that's about it on the... More

Breakfast is inclusive and to a budget (about RM 5 or one pound per person); there are plenty of a la carte choices available if guests want a full English breakfast". Butter turns to liquid in about 5 minutes in this heat (outside verandah for breakfast) and is not served normally. Perhaps a 5-star hotel would have been more suitable... More

Really friendly owners, and we had a great stay in the longhouse. Just gorgeous, and it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. Very relaxing. Mosquito coils are provided, as are nets over the beds. Nice social area with fridge. Toilets and showers are at the far end of the longhouse and are open to the sky. There's no... More

We had a great time here although only for a couple of days. A relaxing and calm environment. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating providing us with great local knowledge. This was particularly valued as this is where we started our trip.... We can highly recommend this place...

Lonely Planet calls it Eco - but it's neither ecological nor economical. The place is made from new wood (from the forest), no composting toilets, or anything of that sort either. At twice the price of anything else you'd get of similar quality in Borneo, that's 35 for dorm in open air (no door) or 80 for a camplike aircon... More

Inaccurate and biased review from a guest who was not booked, turned up very late and complained about everything. More

Nice relaxing stay in an out of the way coastal village area near Miri. We stayed in the longhouse style double room for 80Rm. Easy by bus from town. (From the website description I thought it would be harder) Stayed about four days and it was good value. Initially thought that the dinner meals were expensive, but the fact we... More

We stayed in the lodge for three nights. A really peaceful place where you can perfectly relax. One morning we went to the beach (10 min walk) and had the whole beach just for ourselves. Good food and good service. If you are looking for nightlife, you should better Look for another place.
