My verdict: it is a great hotel to stay. Rooms are big, cosy and comfortable. Toilettries are complete. Tv, radio, hairdryer, refrigerator and iron are ready in the room. Compared to the Imperial palace hotel, where I stayed last year this is much older property. hence everything here spells its age aloud. Good location to stay on week nights but not during weekends as the place swells with Brunei visitors on weekends who drive down from a dry state to this 'watering hole'. It's in good location of town, surrounded by many shops, entertainment outlets and banks. Facilities includes small pool, steam bath etc. The breakfast you can do without. Room clean but there are sign of this hotel needs a facelift. Hotel staff not so friendly. At night quite noisy during weekends.

Very strategic location, close to a supermarket, food stalls n the airport. Clean and well kept rooms. Simple but delicious breakfast spread. Good value and staff try hard. Food was good and plentiful. All in all if you have the choice this is not a bad one. Near to some shops. Taxi's are available and will take you most anywhere. The GP is likely the best "in the city" as far as hotels go. The Marriott is by far a better choice.... More
