I had 6 nights here and thought it was a great little place. Sampath and his family were lovely, and great hosts. From arrival to my departure, waiting up until very late to say goodbye. After the horror of our previous night in Unawatuna (worst hotel/guesthouse/BnB during the course of our Sri Lankan holiday), Star Holiday Resort is a welcome change. A family management in this pretty and clean resort in Hikkaduwa. We have been treated like part of the family!! The Star Holiday Resort is run by a nice married couple who are very helpful. The rooms are fairly basic but clean. You can request mosquito net, fan and air conditioning in advance.
